WeiSong Martial Arts School was founded in Pordenone in 2000 by young Master Liu YuWei and with the aid of his father, Liu SongXi.

Thanks to a fruitful collaboration with Bodycenter fitness club in Cordenons, Master Liu could fulfil his dream, starting his initial Kung Fu and Taiji courses.

In 2005 in the presence of local authorities and of a Chinese delegation, the new 800 square metres school location was opened in via Prasecco, Pordenone.

WeiSong School is nowadays the only one in the Northeast of Italy where only Chinese martial arts are practised and developed and it is characterised by the relevance and respect to the spread of Taoist philosophy and ancient Chinese traditions. While attending this school, one can perceive as the trainee is placed at the centre of every activity, developing both physically and spiritually.

Master Liu's task is not only to promote himself but also to approach and involve as many people as possible into the magic world of Chinese martial arts. Discipline and respect are the foundations of each training; each discipline has a precise programme and the passage to an upper level comes with the passing of exams.

The increasing number of trainees, the perspective of new courses and, most of all, Master Liu's will to share and pass on his techniques and teaching philosophies set off the start in 2005 of an instructor course for advanced trainees. The almost 200 members belong to different ages; some of them make up the school team who is gaining recognition both inside and outside Italy.

In 2006 Master Lian Yi Quan, founder of Epo School in the vicinity of the Shaolin monastery, highest rank monk inside the monastery and one of the 10 most important masters in China and recognised by the Chinese government, chose Master Liu Yuwei as "guan men di zi" - closed doors disciple - giving him the name of warrior monk "Duwei".
